Philippians 4:6 New International Version
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
God loves you no matter what!
You have been uniquely created by God, for His purpose. He loves you so
deeply that He sent his only Son to walk with you, teach you, and
ultimately sacrifice His life for you.
God has a plan for you and you
are essential as a member of the body of Christ. You are God’s
masterpiece; you are needed, you are wanted, you are loved. As you grow
more and more as a Christian you will truly see how special and unique
you are to God.
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 New International Version
6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
God is first - in all things. In you, through you, your spouse and your children will learn about and come know the love of God.
Lead by example. You may very well be the only "Bible" people read.
Husband and Wife as one.
Mark 10:6-9 New International Version
6 “But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.’ 7 ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, 8 and the two will become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two, but one flesh. 9 Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
God sees a man and a women as two individuals but a husnad and wife as one. Marriage is a promise, made on the day of their wedding to each other and most importantly to God. From that day foward God blesses the union and sees the two as one; a new creation.
Let’s Pray
Lord God Almighty,
Perfect and righteous and holy is Your great name.
Thank You for loving this family so dearly We humbly ask for You to give us
wisdom to make the best choices for our family.
For grace to trust You and wait for Your time when we don’t see immediate
answers.
For hope in knowing Your grace and Your Holy Spirit will carry us through in
spite of the circumstances around us.
We thank you for hearing and answering our prayer.
We thank you for your constant care and peace.
In your name of You most holy son Jesus, we thank You. Amen.
Jesus Christ heals all wounds.
1 Peter 2:24
“He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.”
Jesus is the ultimate example of complete faith in God. With God all things are possible.
Matthew 17:20 New International Version
Jesus replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
Proverbs 18:21 New International Version
The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.
Your health, your entire life, and your death is in the power of your tongue! Jesus taught us that by faith when we speak our words will become our truth.
Let's Pray
Father God, I pray that You heal me, not only my physical
body but I ask that You make right my broken mind and spirit too.
I come humbly before You asking You to heal me in every area
of my life.
I give You my heart in faith that You can make me whole
praise Your name.
Jesus, I know with all that I am that You are who You say
You are; my Lord, my King, my Savior.
I love You, Jesus.
Amen
Proverbs 14:29 The Message
Slowness to anger makes for deep understanding; a quick-tempered person stockpiles stupidity.
Psalm 27:14 New International Version
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."
Isaiah 30:18 New International Version
"Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Walk with God and learn to wait on Him. Christ is perfection, but we are not. Because of our sins we all fall short of God's expectations but still He loves us. By the grace of God and the sacrifice of His Son Jesus Christ we are saved. Without Jesus, we would get what we deserve: death.
L
et's Pray
Almighty Father, You are the Living God. Alive in every way. You are kind and
loving and patient. Very patient - beyond any definition - certainly beyond my
understanding.
Patience is my trouble. Is my patience crushed by my ego, or
my pride or my stubbornness or my lack of understanding?
I thank You for the lessons of patience and tolerance that
You have revealed to me. I will trust You in all areas and know that You are in
control of everything that happens.
I pray for courage to serve You, not to shy away or be
timid. I pray for energy and vigor so that I may always be ready when You call
upon me.
I pray for wisdom and kindness and patience and above all
understanding of my fellow man. I ask that my heart be open, my brain made to
understand, my ears ready to hear, and my hands and feet ready whenever You
call on me.
I ask Father God for the patience, the courage, the
strength, the stamina and the wisdom to trust You and place all my faith and
hope with You. I thank You Father God with all that I am, Amen.
Romans 12:1-3 (NIV)
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.
To have faith in God means to trust His reliability, His Word, His ability, and His strength. The Bible says that God cannot lie. That He always keeps His promises. That He loves you and has good in store for you. Trusting in Him means believing what He says about Himself, about the world and about you is true. Trusting God is more than a feeling; it’s a choice to have faith in what He says even when your feelings or circumstances would have you believe something different. Your feelings and circumstances matter and are very much worth paying attention to. God cares about them both. But those things alone are not reliable enough to base your life on. They can change at any moment, even in an instant. God, on the other hand, does not change. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow and therefore is worthy of your trust.
Let's Pray
Our Father, in the name of Jesus I praise your holy name. I trust You Father God for in all my days You have always true and faithful.I know when I fall down, when I fail You will be there to lift me up. You never remind me that I have fallen short, instead You encourage me. Even in my darkest hours, when I have turned away from You and denied Your Son You waited for me. And when I turned back to You, You welcomed me with open arms and more love than I could ever hope for. Yes, I trust You Father, this day and every day forever. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.
John 17:23 New International Version
I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
In this divided world peace sometimes seems so far away. From the moment that Adam and Eve disobeyed God, darkness entered and suddenly, with whispers and innuendo, every difference was made personal and larger and eventually desperate. If God had not sent Jesus when He did surely we would have probably all killed each other by now.
I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity.
Think about it. Jesus in us as God is in Jesus. Wow. We are to be made holy by Jesus so that we may know God the same as He does - as our Father and we as his family!
Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
Jesus' entire life was His testimony of Oneness and unity with the Father. He wants the same for us and tells us the Father loves us just as much as He does.
Jesus tells us that the Father loves us as much as He loves His one and only begotten Son! If we are with Christ, in Christ, when Gods sees us the same as Christ, Matthew 3:17 really becomes personal and incredibly powerful for each of us. "And a voice from heaven said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased."
Let's Pray
All Praise to You Father forever.
Thank You for delivering me from this storm. Even though the world is in the midst of chaos and turmoil it is in faith and trust I know that You will prevail.
In the name of Jesus I pray that we all learn from our mistakes and sin, and when, by Your grace, we put aside our differences and unite, I thank You for the new understanding, tolerance, and forgiveness that will be created. Let us always remember that when we come to You and show our faith by working together, that through Your Son Jesus we will always be saved.
Yes, we are all unique, and made by You to be different. By Your Hand everything is built and put into place. You know everything. Nothing can hide from You, nothing escapes You. No action or thought is lost by You.
Everything and everyone that You make has a purpose, a reason for existing. Everything matters, nothing is a mistake or a throw away. Every element, every piece of Creation is woven together perfectly. You know every face, every life, every soul. You are always, You never forget and You are never to be forgotten.
You are beyond understanding, beyond definition, beyond imagination. You are the Lord God Almighty and You are my Father. You are love, in every way. You love me always. You stand with me and Your Hand guides me. Your Great Love fills my every need. By Your Grace I am blessed in so many ways that I never could imagine or even know and I thank You Father God.
Your Will be done and I recognize that I cannot always understand how all the pieces fit together but I have the faith and confidence that You do. You are my God and I trust You. I am grateful for all that You have provided, grateful for Your love that sent Your Son to rescue me, and grateful for Your Holy Spirit that never leaves me. I offer this prayer in the name of Your Most Holy Son Jesus Christ. Thank You Jesus. Thank You Father, Amen
Pray for Love
1 John 4:19 The Message
19 We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First we were loved, now we love. He loved us first.
1 Corinthians 13:8 New Interna
tional Version
13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10 but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears. 11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me. 12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love.
God is love.
1 John 3:1 New International Version
See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
Let's Pray
Father God, in the name of Jesus I ask that You give me peace,
love, and compassion so that I may be an example of Your great love and be a
blessing to others. Help me to be kind and forgiving, even when I don’t want to
be. Teach me to show compassion, even when compassion and forgiveness are the
farthest from my mind.
Help me to have the courage to walk the walk and be an
example of how Jesus has changed me and show everyone including those who would
be my enemy kind of love and grace that You show me every day.
Remind me Father God, at every turn, in every situation that
Jesus went to the cross, not only for me but for everyone. Remind that you know
and love every face – even the ones who have sinned against me. let me find
forgiveness for those who have wronged me. Give the strength, the courage and
the wisdom to love everyone the way that I know You do. Amen
Pray for Understanding & Wisdom
It is impossible to understand all that is happening around us and to us. Often, we are thoroughly crushed by the weight of this world. The simply isn’t any human way to make sense of it all.
But God can and will walk with You. He will give you the understanding and wisdom you need. He loves you and always wants what is best for you.
Proverbs 2:6-7 New International Version
For the Lord gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding; He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk uprightly.
James 1:5 New International Version
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.
Proverbs 3:5 New International Version
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
Make it your habit to always seek the Lord Your God, His word and His counsel and His Wisdom. Look to prayer and the Word of God to guide your footsteps.
When we open our ears to hear what the Spirit is saying, we allow our hearts to be encouraged, thereby allowing the Holy Spirit to operate in us. God will do what he says He will do. We can anchor our faith on His Word.
Pray for God to fill you with wisdom and insight to make the right choices. Pray for God’s knowledge and discernment to keep you on the straight and narrow path.
Let's Pray
Father God, in the name of Jesus I pray that You speak into my life and grant me the understanding and knowledge of You and Your word. As I open my Bible to read the scriptures, fill me with wisdom and discernment.
I ask for wisdom so that I may understand Your most Holy Son Jesus Christ, and the way in which He lived His life, so that I will truly know the magnitude of His sacrifice.
May Your Holy Spirit reveal Your wisdom and teach me so I can walk in the path you lay before me, to know right from wrong, to be protected against temptation and deceit. Fill me with your knowledge, Lord God Almighty, so I may walk the straight and narrow, in faithfulness to follow you this day and every day, forever.
In Jesus' Name I pray,
Amen.
Pray for Compassion
1 Peter 3:8 New International Version
8 Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be
compassionate and humble.
Psalm 51:1-3 The Message
Generous in love—God, give grace!
Huge in mercy—wipe out my bad record.
Scrub away my guilt, soak out my sins in your laundry.
I know how bad I’ve been; my sins are staring me down.
Ephesians 4:32 New International Version
Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ
forgave you.
Compassion is an act of love and of courage and ultimately
faith.
As Christians we are supposed to be known for being
compassionate like Christ. It is the test of our love for God.
There will always be a reason that this world will readily
give to you for not being compassionate but every single one requires you to
make the judgement that this person is not worthy of your compassion.
Is that a judgement you’re willing to make?
Without saying there are times when the situation is beyond
your capability why not offer to pray to for them?
James 5:16 New International Version
Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you
may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
Let’s Pray
Lord, let me be the voice of reason to those around me,
calling on them to show their compassion, too. Let me be an example of You to
them.
Give us compassion and humility in our hearts. Let us be
kind, gentle, generous, loving, giving, and forgiving wherever we may go.
Allow us to be as compassionate as the air we breathe. Give
us the strength to help our brother, especially if he falls by the wayside.
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy
Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without
end. Amen.
